Google officially announced the Migration of Google pages to Google sites. All existing websites hosted at Google Pages will be imported to Google Sites automatically as the Google Pages is going to shut down in
June 09. Previously i have written post on Alternatives of Google pages specifically for file hosting. Google sites are not going to host any files in their sites, so all your files hosted at Google Pages will be deleted during migration. Why not to backup all files on your PC ? Here we go, Google Pages have created a simple online exporter by which you can download all your files in a ZIP format.
How to Export / Backup all your files in Google Pages :
Login to your Google Pages account first.
If your Google Pages URL is http://mysite.googlepages.com then the export utility will be at http://pages.google.com/migrationinfo/mysite
Note : Change mysite with your username or site name.
On Migration Info page, you will find download link of all your files in zip format. If you have lots of files in your Google Pages hosting, you will see more than one ZIP file carrying all your files.
