- Simply make your prediction for the 6-ball combination for an over (for example: 104620), key it into your mobile and the SMS. Just make sure you send your SMS before the first ball for an over is bowled.
- Write only 6 numeric digits in SMS, dont write any alphabetical letters in SMS.
- If a wicket falls, you have to predict the runs from that delivery. For example, if the batsman is clean bowled, the runs scored will be ZERO (0); if the batsman is run out and 1 valid run was scored on that ball, then you have to predict ONE (1) run for that ball. 
- If a prediction sent for less than 6 balls the IPL Play6up system will assume Zero (0) runs for the missing balls. Similarly, if a user sends a blank message the system will assume Zero (0) runs for all the six balls of that over
- Players can only predict for valid balls bowled in an over. Any ball that causes another ball to be bowled is not counted for this game. So any scores that result from wides and no balls are not counted.
- You can send a maximum of 20 predictions per innings. You can consume all of your allotted 20 predictions in one over or you can use that for multiple overs in a particular innings. You cannot carry forward unused predictions for a particular innings to another innings/match
- If you get the first 6, 5, 4 or Runs Per Over (RPO) correct, here’s what you win/share:
6 VALID BALLS
You win/share 100 per cent of the playing Rs prize.
FIRST 5 VALID BALLS (if no one wins 6 valid balls)
You win/share 40 per cent of the playing Rs prize. (60 per cent rolls over to the next over)
FIRST 4 VALID BALLS (if no one wins 6 or the first 5 valid balls)
You win/share 30 per cent of the playing Rs prize.
CORRECT RUNS PER OVER (if no one wins 6, the first 5 or 4 valid balls)
You win/share 20 per cent of the playing Rs prize.
If there are no winners, the Rs prize keeps rolling over into the next over — until someone wins
- There are a number of reasons why an over may not be bowled. Rain may stop play, the batting side may be all out, or the batting side may win the match before the 20th over in a T/20 game or before the 50th over in the ODI. Entries into these overs will not playable.
- If you’re a winner IPL will sms you with a win code letting you know exactly how much you’ve won and how to collect. If the win amount is less than Rs1000, then the total win amount will be credited with talk time to your phone account.
- You have to send in your predictions for a particular over early enough for us to receive the SMS and process the entry before the bowler rolls over his arm to bowl the first ball of that particular over. Note that TV broadcasts are delayed from the actual game, so you are advised to get your entry in well before the start of the over. If your prediction is received after the cut-off time of an over, your entry will be accepted for the next over of the game.
