In our previous article we learnt how to print pages in Wikipedia without images, links and extra stuff. That was for few pages, what if you want to print hundreds of pages from Wikipedia ?
As they say an “I always Capital”, here is the solution.
Pediapress.com is an online service that lets you create pages or a full customized books from Wikipedia
articles. You can create a PDF book of your favourite article(s) along with the category list and you can even download the PDF file for free. If you really want a hard copy then you can order a printed book. Just place an order and Pediapress will print the given PDF file for you. Before placing order do note few things. Pediapress books are in dimensions of 8'” x 5.5” with a colourful cover. I ordered one and i found that cost of a printed book depends on the number of pages, Fee for 100 pages is $8.90. The best thing is that you can browse books created or ordered by someone else.
How to create a book on Pediapress ?
There are some limitations too in Pediapress. The service is only available in few languages like French, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish, Dutch and English. You can only print the article which has a “Create a book” sign in the left navigation sidebar menu. Pediapress printing service works on all Mediawikis that have installed the free collection-extension. Some sites offering the service including the German Wikipedia, Ebooks and Openoffice.org Wiki.
